Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Today marks the beginning of your thrilling safari adventure. Following breakfast, your journey commences as you head towards Tarangire National Park. Here, you will venture into the expansive wilderness, known for hosting the largest concentration of elephants in northern Tanzania. Keep your eyes peeled for a diverse range of mammals, including lions, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, and buffalo.

During the dry seasons, Tarangire comes alive as a hub for wildlife and birdlife. Animals and avian species gather around the Tarangire River, a permanent source of water, creating a truly exceptional wildlife encounter.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Start your day with a delicious breakfast, preparing you for the next leg of your safari adventure. Your journey will take you into the heart of wild Africa—the Serengeti, renowned for its endless plains that stretch as far as the eye can see. The Serengeti National Park, a designated World Heritage Site, teems with wildlife, boasting an astonishing population of over 2 million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and approximately 500 bird species. This expansive and diverse landscape, covering nearly 15,000 square kilometers, promises unparalleled opportunities for observing plains game.

Day 4: Central Serengeti National Park - Head to Northern Serengeti

Wake before sunrise, as the Bush is always alive. Early morning drives offer the best chance to get close to wildlife when the action is most thrilling. Predators are active in the cool morning, making it perfect for witnessing the chase.

Explore Seronera, a year-round game viewing site with a diverse array of resident wildlife like elephants, giraffes, impalas, and more. Even after the wildebeest and zebras migrate, these animals remain. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs can often be spotted in a single day.

After lunch, continue your game drive towards the northern Serengeti for an incredible Great Migration experience.

Day 5: Witness the Great Mara River Crossing

After breakfast, set out for a day of exploration along the Mara River’s banks, both north and south, in anticipation of the captivating river crossings. From July to October, witness thousands of wildebeest crossing the Mara River in the northern Serengeti, part of the annual migration of over two million grazers across Tanzania and Kenya. Enjoy stunning views of the southern Maasai Mara plains and the mesmerizing sunset.

Day 6: Final game Viewing in Northern Serengeti, then drive back to Ngorongoro Conservancy

Following breakfast, prepare for another remarkable game drive in the Serengeti before returning to the Ngorongoro Conservancy. As you approach the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll catch a glimpse of what awaits you the next day—a breathtaking landscape featuring glistening streams, expansive grasslands, and an abundance of wildlife.

You also have the option to include a visit to Olduvai Gorge and its museum (an additional cost of $40 per person).

In the evening, enjoy leisure time and a delicious dinner at your accommodation.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater - Departure

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll descend into the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater for an incredible game-viewing experience on its floor. Ngorongoro Crater is believed to have taken shape approximately 2.5 million years ago, originating from a massive active volcano whose cone imploded after a significant eruption. This event left behind the immense, unbroken caldera that we see today. The crater boasts a unique ecosystem, housing over 25,000 resident animals, including the iconic Big Five.

Later, you’ll ascend from the crater and journey back to the city of Arusha. From there, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the conclusion of your unforgettable Migration safari adventure with Mazingira Eco-friendly Safari Adventure.
