OVERVIEW

In 6 days you will visit all the major safari national parks in the northern part of Tanzania. You will have enough time for extensive animal watching and the great opportunity take many great photos. Explore the wilderness of the park as you await to spot various animals and also participate in black rhino tracking. A tour to the waterfall and local village is added to give you an experience of learning and understanding of Local Tanzania life.

Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania

After arriving at the airport our representative and experienced driver guides, will meet and greet you, and then he will escort you to Moshi at your accommodation to relax and prepare yourself for the exciting moment ahead. If the weather allows you will be welcomed with a great view of Mount Meru and the shy girl, Mount Kilimanjaro. Get an opportunity for add-on activities in Moshi Materuni waterfall hike, Coffee tour, Chemka/ Maji moto (Hot spring) swimming, City tour, day tour to Mount Kilimanjaro Park, walking tours, etc. (Activity supplement applies).

Day 2: Mkomazi National Park ``Rhino experiences``

After breakfast, you will depart to Mkomazi National Park, located in the Northern Part of Tanzania within the Kilimanjaro and Tanga regions. In the Northern part this park borders Tsavo West National Park in Kenya. The park has a semi-arid Climate with a bimodal rainfall distribution pattern. Alongside the Umba River, this park hosts several rare colobus monkeys and the southern extension of Sahel is characterized by acacia Commiphora species. You will have a chance to visit Rhino Sanctuary. The Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary is working to build a viable breeding population of 50 black rhinos, whose offspring will be used to strengthen the existing populations in Tanzania. The rhinos in the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary make up nearly 30% of the total black rhinoceros population in Tanzania. This makes the Mkomazi rhinos incredibly important, not only for the country but also for the future of this fragile species. Evening leisure, dinner, and overnight will be at your accommodation.

Day 3: Materuni Waterfall and Coffee tour

After breakfast, you will drive back to Moshi and proceed to Materuni waterfalls for the nature experiences. Reaching at Materuni village you will register with village formalities. Later you will start your hike about 45 minutes away. On the way, your guide will inform you about the culture of the Chagga, and their village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The views are truly breathtaking, and with some luck, you will see the summit of Kilimanjaro. When you reach the waterfalls, you will see that they are more than 80 meters high. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim so don‘t forget your swimwear! Later you will get back and experience a traditional Chagga lunch, taste our local banana beer, and experience the coffee experience. Later you will proceed to your accommodation for an overnight.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park

After a well-served breakfast, your great moments start here! You will depart to Tarangire National Park also known as “The Elephant Playground”. Big herds of elephants are distinctive features of Tarangire National Park. Feel welcomed by the vegetation that is scattered with baobab and acacia trees. The grassland, swamps, and floodplains found here are home to giraffes, baboons, hippos, big cats, and other species. The Tarangire River brings life to the animals, it attracts a lot of diverse animals and you will be able to spot a lot of elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and Zebra. Other animals are wildebeest, gazelles, cheetahs, and leopards, but also the seldom-seen Kudu, Oryx, and Gerenuk. Later you will proceed to your accommodation for an overnight.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart to Ngorongoro crater, home to over 120 species of mammals including the famous Big Five and one of the world’s heritage sites. The Crater is a place to see the endangered black rhinos enjoying their meals out on the grass plain and the large number of hippos enjoying the cool water. Other animals include Lions, leopards, jackals, cheetahs, hyenas’ wildebeest, Zebra, antelope, buffalo and more. Ngorongoro Crater is a truly safari destination. After your exciting time at the crater, you will ascend and drive back to your accommodation for evening leisure, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Manyara to Arusha

Depart after breakfast to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and the flamingos on the lakeshore. It is only 205 sq miles in size, this park is noted for its beauty and incredibly lush acacia forest of giant fig and mahogany trees which are home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. The shallow alkaline lake covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos during the rainy seasons. Other animals can be seen here including giraffes, elephants, impalas, and the hippos.
Later you will drive back to Arusha and be transferred to the airport for your departure.
