For those who want to witness the “Great Migration,” this is for you! Get a chance to see animals crossing the Mara River along the border of Northern Tanzania heading to Southern Kenya between July to October. You will also visit the famous Ngorongoro Crater home to more than 250,000 resident animals including the Big Five.

Day 1: Welcome to Tanzania

You will be met by our representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. You will rest in your accommodation waiting for your safari to start the following day.

The following activities can be added to your day if you arrive early (activity supplement applies):
• Nature walk and game drive in Arusha National Park.
• Canoeing safari in Lake Momella or Lake Duluti.
• Cultural visit at the foot of Mount Meru.
• Horse riding.
• Coffee tour.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

You’ll wake up in the morning and enjoy breakfast. Later, you will start your safari heading to wild Africa—the Serengeti with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide you with unlimited game viewing. Plain games such as elephants, zebras, wildebeests, lions, leopards, and cheetahs can be seen.

After a wonderful day experience, you will go for evening leisure, dinner, and an overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 3: Central Serengeti - Northern Serengeti National Park

This day is dedicated to game viewing in the central part of Serengeti referred to as Seronera. It is a year-round game viewing site with a greater diversity of resident wildlife than anywhere in Serengeti. There will be animals such as elephants, giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, hippos, reedbucks, buffalos, and baboons, which remain even after the spectacular herds of blue wildebeests and zebras have gone. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs can also be spotted in one-day game drives.

Later after lunch, you will proceed with the game drive heading to the Northern part of Serengeti to witness the migration.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day along the Mara River, exploring the northern and southern banks and waiting for possible crossing. You will be watching the energy build until the final amazing crossing of the river. You’ll also enjoy excellent views of the southern Masai Mara plains towards the north and beautiful sunset towards the west. Many species such as leopards, lions, cheetahs, and even rhinos can be seen in this secluded corner of the northern Serengeti. This is when the wildebeest are in the northern Serengeti plains, and you will have a chance of seeing up to thousands crossing the great Mara River.

After a wonderful day experience, you will go for evening leisure, dinner, and an overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservancy

After breakfast, you will go for the final game drive in this part of Serengeti. After lunch, you will drive back to Ngorongoro Conservancy. You will arrive at the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater and have the first taste of what awaits you the following day—glistening streams, open grassland, and an infinite number of animals.

Evening leisure and dinner will be at your accommodation.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will drive down to the adventurous track in the crater. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the places in Tanzania. You will be able to see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area.
Then, you will ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha for your departure.
