4-Day Safari with Sunset Crater Rim Walk

Wake up for the early breakfast in your accommodation, later you will depart with your lunch heading to Serengeti National Park, the famous park with its vast open grasslands that allows excellent sightings of wildlife. The climate and vegetation here remained largely untouched for millions of years. Although the Serengeti boasts rich wildlife, it is perhaps well known for the annual Great Migration where vast numbers of wildebeest; accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The timing of the Migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year. After an extensive game drive, we head for our accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Another dedicated day for the final time drive in Central Serengeti park, a well-known place for wildlife sanctuary in the world and the heart of Serengeti. This part is the richest for wildlife habitats including the so called Big Five, elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and black rhinos. For bird lovers over 500 bird species have been recorded here including vultures, owls, bustards, cranes and secretary birds.
Laker after lunch we depart to Ngorongoro highlands for a sunset walk on the crater rim with an armed ranger. A great chance to watch out for any number of forest birds including sunbird, cinnamon-chested bee eater, animals and indigenous plants. You can come across animals like giraffe, zebra and elephant (the reason why you are with an armed ranger, do not worry).
After a wonderful experience, you will proceed to your accommodation for an overnight.

After breakfast you will proceed with the game toward Ngorongoro crater, one of the world’s natural wonder. Ngorongoro is thought to be formed about 2.5 million years ago from a large active volcano collapsed inward after a major eruption, leaving the present vast, unbroken caldera as its chief remnant. The co—habitation of man and animal makes Ngorongoro unique in Tanzania. Your experienced driver guide will explain more about this incredible life. The crater floor water supports a residents’ population of more than 25000 large animals including Elephants, lions, leopard, hyena, jackal, wallowing hippo, waterbuck, and baboons. If luck you can also spot the rare black rhinos. Later you will ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha.
This will mark the end of your 4 days safari with Mazingira team. Accommodation at Arusha or transfer to the airport can be booked for an extra costs.
